Another year gone…

I really don’t know how the year passed so quickly, especially when I look back at photos and see how busy we were. Maybe that’s why – or maybe it’s just a fact of aging that time seems to pass faster.

Now to look forward to 2025 and what it will bring. As we get older, our priorities are changing, sometimes faster than I can keep up with them. Factor in hubby’s life long dreams and my trying to help him achieve them. If money were no issue…well, you know what I mean. But as each year passes, our physical issues limit what we can easily do, so time is running out to accomplish some of those things.

Hubby wants a project car he can work on, rebuild, restore. Looking at spending $10k or so to start. We have a big month long cruise set for April/May 2026. It would be another $20k vacation (like our European vacation).

If we do the big vacation, hubby won’t have the funds for the project car till some time in 2026. He’ll turn 76 that year. I’m 77 now and I know the last two years have seen a distinct decline in my energy, strength, stamina and even motivation. I worry that if we wait until 2026, he’ll have a project that may never be finished.

If only money weren’t such a factor. How do you make decisions like this? Time is short, we never know what tomorrow brings.
