It’s been a week and I love the Everett more and more. Today is cold so it’s not alone, I’m wearing a base layer from 32 degrees, inexpensive fleece leggings and wool socks (the holiday socks just aren’t as warm). Then I added a quilted vest from 32 degrees. It’s -2 degrees at 10:30 and still only 63 in the house (our heat pump just can’t keep up). Running the space heater in my office.
It does feel strange to think I’ve only finished one week of the challenge and there are 13 more (plus a couple of days) left to go. Again, since I’m team basic, it’ll be mostly leggings with an occasional vest on uber-cold days along with various under layers. On the cruise, I will wear it for a photo, then sleep in it (well, unless we have a cold snap and that does happen).
All-in-all, I’m quite pleased with it and wouldn’t hesitate to get another, even realizing it’s not quite as warm as I expected by itself. I love layering! (The older I get, the more I feel the cold…)
