Letter to a new woolie friend,

Dear new woolie friend,
So you are interested in trying wool but you’re not sure where to start. Well, I have a bunch of posts here on my blog about how I got started, my 100 day challenge, my thoughts, and more. I did a 100 day challenge (Everett tunic for a $100 gift certificate) and a 30 day challenge (Sierra dress for a $30 gift certificate). Here are some links as well as posts I’ve written.

It’s all about the wool now! The start of my wool journey & 100 day challenge.

Here are the wool& Challenges (be sure to read all the rules – only one 100 day challenge per person but you can do a 30 day challenge once a year): wool& Journal

My favorite major sites to buy from are Woolx for tops and leggings (since they offer petite leggings and they often have discount codes), and wool& for dresses and tunics. If you look at wool&, I have four Sierra dresses, one Maggie, and two Audrey. I do have two Cassies from Woolx but will probably sell them since I like the longer length on the Audreys. I also have wool from Minus33®, Smartwool®, icebreaker®, and Merino.Tech (Amazon often has items from these companies, too. I always price-check before ordering). I’ve also bought from eBay and Poshmark, but that can be tough unless you already know your sizing for that particular product. Just be sure you understand the return policy. Some places don’t allow free returns, others are free but still have particular restrictions (no washing, for example).

My underwear is all from Branwyn, I wear the Busty Essential bra and the Hipster undies. I love the no-show merino socks from Ondos and I have several pairs of Wool Runner lace-up shoes plus one pair of Wool flats from Allbirds. So comfy!

My wardrobe is 95% merino, cotton, flannel, and linen now. I have given away bags and bags of clothes that were synthetics. I no longer buy every cute top I see at Walmart or online. In fact, last two times I was in Kohls, I never even looked at clothes!

There are a couple of great BST (buy, sell, trade) sites on Facebook. There are also several good Facebook groups for the wool products, a good place to check out what sizes people are wearing since many will share their statistics/measurements with their photos.

Facebook groups:
Wool Obsessed: Discuss ALL brands, as well as for trade/sale items
Discover Woolx: Only discuss brand specific items and no reselling
wool& Community: Only discuss brand specific items and no reselling

BST Groups – be sure to read the rules!!!
Woolx BST: Only Woolx items
wool& BST: They do allow ONE item listing on Wednesday for other brands
