It’s been quite a couple of weeks for our family. Here’s a recap and you will see why I’m feeling a bit stressed lately!
- My Aunt passed away at age 99 – we had all hoped she would make 100 but it wasn’t to be. No services as per her wishes.
- Stu took our RV to Maryland where his youngest is buying the setup. He had a nasty tire blowout on the way and had to buy all new tires for the trailer. Insurance is covering the damage which the kids will get done in Maryland.
- I had a massive power outage at home while Stu was gone – frustrated because I can’t run the generator. But fortunately it was less than a day.
- My grandson, who just had a baby added to their family, is getting a divorce.
- My daughter was diagnosed with breast cancer. There is no family history but she will still get the genetic testing done for the sake of her son and baby granddaughter. Her surgery is on 8/23, currently just a lumpectomy followed by chemo (and possibly radiation). She has a long, hard road ahead of her. We are doing all we can to support her from a distance.
- When I notified one of my brother’s about my daughter, I found out his wife is battling bladder cancer. Big issue since she only has one kidney. She is undergoing some extreme treatments.
- Our neighbor notified us yesterday (adjoining yards, ours is fenced) that someone poisoned their German Shephard. He didn’t make it. He runs loose but usually stays in their yard (lots of acreage). So sad…we will keep an eye out on our pups, just in case.
- Our younger doodle, Murphy, has a lump and a growth that will probably need surgical excision before we go to Europe. His annual visit is 8/21.
- On 8/22, Stu is having an out-patient procedure done in Knoxville. Nothing serious, just fixing a troublesome male issue.
- My book deadline is looming and thanks to sleep & other issues, I’m way behind. Eeeek!!
- We are only SIX WEEKS away from leaving on our two month vacation. Eeeep!!
My Gratitude For Today
I am blessed with a wonderful, supportive husband who reassures me constantly, provides positive encouragement that we will get through it all, and best of all – makes me laugh.
You are overloaded, indeed, my friend!
Sending big hugs your way!
Awww, thank you!
Thank God for Stu! I know you do. You will get everything done that needs doing. I know you will.
Thanks!
That’s a lot to deal with. Hoping for the best possible outcomes for all situations. ((hugs))
Thank you.
