A blogger friend posted hers in response to a daily prompt, and I thought it was a fun idea. So here are my top thirty likes…in no particular order (just as I thought of them).
- My husband who never fails to make me laugh, especially when I’m being too serious or stressed
- My silly dogs who I can’t imagine not having in my life
- My kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids
- The quiet country life
- The sun warming me on a chilly day
- Moonlit waves crashing on a beach
- The smell of fresh bread, cinnamon, fresh rain, new leather, cloves
- Old comedy series: M.A.S.H., Big Bang Theory, Golden Girls, Designing Women, WKRP, Barney Miller
- Simplifying things (because I tend to make things too complicated)
- Silly Sci-Fi disaster movies
- Baking and cooking shows – especially with kids
- Rocking in a comfy chair
- Sitting on my back deck, drinking coffee before it get too warm outside
- Ceiling fans
- Warmth from a fireplace on a chilly, damp day
- Watching the fire in a fireplace
- Aquariums – big and small
- Listening to my favorite music (usually classic rock, but also blues)
- Watching people dance (when I was younger and more limber, I loved to dance)
- Lasagna and pizza
- White daisies, black-eyed susans, and sunflowers.
- Breyer’s Black Raspberry with Chocolate Chips ice cream
- A good Chicago dog (long ago introduced to me by a friend now gone…)
- Walking in the woods (without ticks and mosquitos, please)
- Fireflies and Dragonflies
- Planning and organizing most anything
- The memories of my tattoos (some done with my late husband, his daughters, my son, and my brother)
- My wedding ring (gold Celtic knotwork)
- My gold necklace made from my wedding set with my late husband
- My gold semi-hoop diamond earrings, my first big purchase after my husband passed – they were on sale and I called my youngest daughter who told me to go for it!
