I decided to answer today’s SHARE YOUR WORLD questions – just in case you might be interested.
You can see the original post
here.

  1. What colour are you wearing today?
Um, black and gray. Not sure why. LOL! I have on gray wool socks, grey Wool Runner shoes from Allbirds, dark gray wool capris from Wool&, and a black-grey striped wool tee-shirt from Amazon. (photo below)
  2. Will you be cooking lunch today, having something cold, or going out to eat?
Lunch will be a hard-boiled egg cut up and mixed in with my tuna salad with a side of a dill pickle. So I guess that qualifies as a cold lunch, eaten in.
  3. Does hot weather drain your strength or agree with you?
I don’t deal well with the heat and even less with humidity. When I was young, I loved the beach and would bake in the sun. Now I avoid going outside once the temperatures hit 80 degrees. It does drain me and when it’s humid, it’s harder for me to breath.
  4. Do you have air conditioning in your property?
Absolutely YES! In the mid-60s, I lived in Florida without air conditioning. I also went through a summer pregnancy without air conditioning. Nope, not now. Not ever again if I have any say about it!

No, the wool doesn’t make me hot. It absorbs any sweat, dries quickly, and doesn’t smell. Stains come right out and you can wear it multiple times before needing to wash. I love my merino wool clothes!

The humidity gets to me, but I always loved the hot weather until now. Sadly it looks like the hot (also very cold) temperatures seen to exacerbate the Relapsing Polychondritis symptoms. It’s going to be an interesting summer trying to avoid ‘flares’ and exhaustion when I love being outside in the garden.

I hate that the heat exacerbates your illness, especially since you love gardening. Hugs!
