Share Your World – May 20 2024

I decided to answer today’s SHARE YOUR WORLD questions – just in case you might be interested.
You can see the original post here.

I’m trying to get back into blogging on a more regular basis so today I’m participating in this weekly challenge. Here are the questions…

1. Do you have a favourite movie you never tire of watching?

I have several, mostly comedies and some action. Blazin’ Saddles, Dirty Dancing, Olympus Has Fallen, London Has Fallen, most anything from Bruce Willis in his earlier years. I’m sure there are more, but my memory fails me right now. LOL!

2. Do you have a favourite song or special song as a couple?

Two, actually. One with my late husband, Colour My World by Chicago (the first slow song we ever danced to), and one with my current husband, I’ll Be by Edwin McCain (sung at our wedding).

3. How do you relax in the evenings?

That’s easy – two things. Playing games on my iPad while watching TV, both our regular shows and binge-watching various series.

4. Do you celebrate special birthdays or anniversaries?

Now in my late 70s, the only thing we do is on our birthdays. We used to do a double movie feature, now we just do a single movie. Then, for me, a lasagna dinner. Our major anniversaries have been celebrated with travel and special events. For our tenth, we went to Disney and spared no expense. For our fifteenth, it was our two month European vacation last fall.

Optional Gratitude:

I am grateful for my amazing husband who continues to do things I could never have imagined as well as taking wonderful care of me.

Thanks, I’ll be busy with family the next two weeks but will join in again when I can.

What a blessing to have a happy marriage. I think going on trips is a wonderful way to celebrate special occasions.
(My hubby and I are celebrating his 80th by going on a cruise with our kids.)
