Taking a quick moment to do this week’s questions before heading out of town for a week…
What frustrates you the most about modern day living?
The rudeness and impatience of way too many people. The fast pace of cities in my life is in my past and I’m so glad. At 76, a slower pace is good and it keeps me from being over exposed to
What was your favourite decade and why?
That’s a tough one because I have favorites but for different reasons. I love the 50s when I was young due to the simplicity of life back then. At the time, I didn’t appreciate it. The 60s was my era for music. The 80s were when I met and married my soulmate, that’s an obvious choice. After 2000, it all seems to blend into one decade. LOL!
What was your ‘best buy’ (for example: house, car, clothes, computer etc)
I’m not sure about best buy but my favorite buy was actually two things. The first was my used 1959 Austin Healy 3000-6 sports car. Oh my, did I ever love that car. The second would be my Harley-Davidson Softail Deluxe motorcycle. The year after my husband passed, I toured the country on it, riding through 42 states across 27,000 miles – solo.
Do you have any non medicinal allergies?
My one is adhesives, like on the back on bandages and tape. I break out in a nasty rash, so if I need them longer term, they have to reapplied in a new spot.
Gratitude…
Thanks for joining in Donna. Love the bike! We used to have Bike Night on Poole Quay every Tuesday and there were some fabulous machines there. One biker offered me his Harley in exchange for Maggie (she was about 5 months old). I thought he was joking, but he was deadly serious as he’d fallen in love with her at first sight! He fully understood why we declined his offer! What a trip you must have had.
I miss riding but my vision and balance just won’t me be more than a passenger. Sniff…
