I’m doing something a little different, a blog hop post. I used to do a lot of these but over the years have drifted away. One of my new A to Z friends posted her thoughts today and it got me to looking at the host. I think I will do these more often. Thank you to the post today on J Dub’s Grin & Bear it blog.
1. Do you feel comfortable walking in your neighbourhood at night?
2. When you shop for day to day things, do you pay by cash or card?
I’d say 95% of the time it’s by card and a large portion of day to day things are now bought online via Walmart (pickup) and Amazon. I rarely carry cash, sometimes a single $20 bill and it usually goes to make a co-pay payment at a medical appointment.
3. When was the last time you dressed up for a special occasion?
This one is easy – elegant night on our last cruise. Being retired, in our 70s, and living so far out of town, we don’t do dinners out. Neither of us likes to drive at night. And we like to save our money for our cruises. That said, I don’t do more than a dressy blouse over pants, even for cruising.
4. Have you ever lied about your age?
Not that I can remember. I’ve never had any reason to. It is what it is – I’ve lived a long life and I look it. LOL! I’m sure I could look a bit younger if I dyed my hair, but I stopped that at age 50 and have never looked back.

It’s J-Dub. Not sure why I can’t sign in. I loved your answers. We’re rural too which is why I feel safe walking the neighborhood. We carry a flashlight & the difference is no cars allowed. It’s that off road. Yay to dressy cruises. We’ve never been. I’m convinced I’d get seasick. Does sound fun though. Hope to see you next week for more sharing.
Strange, you should at least be able to click the down arrow beside Anonymous and enter name & URL. I worried about getting seasick on my first cruise since I do on smaller boats. But we book a cabin mid-ship and mid-deck, and I'm always fine. I really enjoy the getaway time! I do plan to be back, if I see the prompt in time. LOL!
Mary carries some cash, more as tip money, but nearly all our purchases are with a credit card. We do a lot of shopping on the Internet, most with Amazon, but lately some with Walmart. She hates to go in there, but has no trouble ordering from them.
