I saw a photo of a friend zip-lining and it struck me that I’ve done some things in my lfe that I never expected to do.

  • Auditioning and getting two parts in community theater productions (one was a co-lead), performed in a historic theater (reputed to have ghosts)
  • Learning to ride a motorcycle at age 55
  • Riding my motorcycle over a bridge in Florida that terrified me, even in a car
  • Riding my motorcycle solo through 42 states (27k miles) the year after my husband passed
  • Selling my house and everything in it, buying a used motorhome, and becoming a full-time RVer
  • Falling in love a second time after losing my soulmate
  • Zip-lining from the highest, fastest, longest (at the time I did it) zip-line in the world (Alaska)
  • Riding ATVs in Central and South America – it was terrifying, at first, nothing like riding a motorcycle
  • Relearning to ride a bicycle in my 60s – no, it wasn’t automatic muscle memory
  • Making friends with musicians from all countries on cruise ships young enough to be our kids and grandkids, friending then on Facebook and following their careers and marriages and life changes
  • Living and traveling full-time in an RV for ten years
  • Discovering I LOVE dark beers (porters, stouts)
  • Spending thirty days in Cuenca Ecuador before moving there for two years (and knowing almost no Spanish)
  • Traveling to multiple countries via cruise ship, experiencing multiple cultures
  • Owning and loving two beautiful, smart black Goldendoodles
  • Visiting Scotland!!
